I don't know why I am having trouble with this introduction but, I am. Let me start out by saying that if you're reading this- Thank You for taking the time to read the rants of the crazy craft lady. I guess that is me- the crazy craft lady- I am also known as Shana. I have 3 very funny and amazing children and one husband who supports my love of crafts (usually). My kids are my world- Lilly is 17 and a senior in a cosmetology program at the local vocational school. Shane is 13 and loves to draw and is currently working on a manga book. Avery is 2 and rather terrific and terrible in equal measures, she is obsessed with Minnie Mouse.
Crafts
I like to say that I have never met a craft I didn't like- and I have the supplies to prove it. I grew up blessed- I got to spend lots of time with my grandma. She grew up during the depression and often said "why buy it when we can make it." This phrase goes thru my head all day long. I sell my crafts thru word of mouth and on my facebook page. I love doing it- there is nothing like creating something and having someone want to buy it. It is truly a joy to me.
Why
Why start a blog? I am planning on sharing some of my creative process with you to encourage you, to inspire you and maybe in the process I will be encouraged and inspired as well. I would like to encourage everyone to find their creative voice (it is in there I promise). I really hate when people say to me Oh I am not that creative or I was never good at art- I can't do that. To those people I say your right- If you're not willing to try you have already failed. Let's not fail together.
